কেবল আমাদের মানুষOnly our people
পোস্ট করতে পারেন কেবল যাচাই করা সদস্যরা। তাই ফিডের প্রতিটি নাম একজন আসল প্রাক্তন শিক্ষার্থীর, আর এখানে অচেনা কারও বিজ্ঞাপন বা খবর আসে না।Only verified members can post. Every name in the feed belongs to a real former student, and nobody else's adverts or news come in.

প্রতিটি পোস্ট একটি ব্যাচ ও আয়োজনের সঙ্গে থাকে। পাঁচ বছর পরেও ২০২০ সালের পুনর্মিলনীর ছবি এক চাপে পাওয়া যায়, যা ফেসবুক গ্রুপে প্রায় অসম্ভব।Every post is filed under a batch and an event. Five years on, the 2020 reunion photos are one tap away, which is close to impossible in a Facebook group.

পুনর্মিলনী বা টুর্নামেন্টের দিন সবাই এখানে আসেন। যাঁরা মাঠে থাকতে পারেন না, তাঁরাও সব দেখতে পান। সাধারণ দিনে ফিডের শুরুতে থাকে সর্বশেষ আয়োজনের হাইলাইট।On a reunion or tournament day everyone comes here, and those who cannot be at the field still see it all. On ordinary days the top of the feed shows the latest event's highlights.
পোস্টের সীমাHow much you can post
সীমা কেবল ছবি ও ভিডিওর পোস্টে। শুধু লেখা পোস্ট সীমায় গণনা হয় না। মাসের ও বছরের সীমার মধ্যে যেটি আগে শেষ হয়, সেটিই প্রযোজ্য।The limit applies only to posts with photos or video. Text-only posts do not count. Whichever of the monthly and yearly caps runs out first is the one that applies.

রিল ২৪ ঘণ্টা পর নিজে থেকে মুছে যায়, তাই জায়গা জমে না। আয়োজনের ভালো রিলগুলো মুছে যাওয়ার আগে কমিটি আয়োজনের অ্যালবামে রেখে দিতে পারে, তখন সেগুলো স্থায়ী হয়।A reel deletes itself after 24 hours, so storage never piles up. Before they expire, the committee can keep the best event reels in the event's album, and then they stay.

নির্বাচনের সময়During an election
- প্রচারণা চলবে কেবল প্রার্থীদের নিজস্ব পাতায়, ফিডে নয়।Campaigning happens only on the candidates' own pages, never in the feed.
- পদের কারণে পাওয়া বাড়তি সীমা স্থগিত থাকে। সবাই সাধারণ সদস্যের সীমায় পোস্ট করেন।The extra allowance that comes with an office is paused. Everyone posts at the general member's limit.
- অফিসিয়াল AGES পোস্টে কেবল নিরপেক্ষ তথ্য: তারিখ, ভোটার তালিকা, ভোটের নিয়ম।Official AGES posts carry only neutral information: dates, the voter roll, the voting rules.
- কোনো প্রার্থী নিজের পদের ক্ষমতায় কোনো পোস্ট পিন করতে পারেন না।No candidate can use an office to pin a post.
রিপোর্ট ও মডারেশনReports and moderation
- ১1যেকোনো সদস্য একটি কারণ বেছে পোস্ট রিপোর্ট করতে পারেন।Any member can report a post, choosing a reason.
- ২2৩টি আলাদা রিপোর্ট হলে পোস্টটি নিজে থেকে লুকিয়ে যায়।After 3 separate reports a post hides itself.
- ৩3কমিটির মনোনীত মডারেটররা ২৪ ঘণ্টার মধ্যে দেখে সিদ্ধান্ত নেন: আবার দেখানো, অথবা সরিয়ে দেওয়া।The committee's named moderators look within 24 hours and decide: show it again, or remove it.
- ৪4লেখককে সিদ্ধান্ত ও তার কারণ জানানো হয়।The author is told the decision and the reason for it.
- ৫5সিদ্ধান্তে আপত্তি থাকলে ৭ দিনের মধ্যে কার্যনির্বাহী কমিটির কাছে আবেদন করা যায়।An author who disagrees can appeal to the executive committee within 7 days.

কেন এই সীমাWhy there are limits
সংগঠনটি অলাভজনক, আর সার্ভারের খরচ চলে সদস্যদের চাঁদা থেকে, প্রতি মাসে, বছরের পর বছর। সেই খরচের বড় অংশ ছবি ও ভিডিও রাখা এবং দেখানোর।The association is a non-profit, and the server bill is paid from members' dues, every month, year after year. Most of that bill is storing and showing photos and video.
এক মিনিটের ভিডিও জায়গা নেয় মোটামুটি ৫০ থেকে ১০০টি ছবির সমান, আর যতবার কেউ দেখেন, ততবার আবার খরচ হয়। লেখার খরচ প্রায় শূন্য। তাই সীমা কেবল ছবি ও ভিডিওতে, লেখায় নয়।One minute of video takes roughly as much space as 50 to 100 photos, and it costs again every time someone watches it. Text costs almost nothing. So the limits fall on photos and video, not on words.
ছবি আপলোডের আগেই ফোনে ছোট করে নেওয়া হয়। ৪ MB এর ছবি হয়ে যায় কয়েকশো KB, দেখতে একই রকম থাকে।Photos are shrunk on the phone before they are uploaded. A 4 MB photo becomes a few hundred KB and looks the same.
